| Diamond Bur
Dental diamond burs are used to grind down tooth structures in order to get proper fits for crowns or veneers. They may also be used to cut trough Zirconia or grind porcelain when shaping and placing crowns or veneers.
| Carbide Bur
Carbide burs are tools used for excavating and preparing cavities, finishing cavity walls, finishing restoration surfaces, drilling old fillings, finishing crown preparations, contouring bone, removing impacted teeth, and separating crowns and bridges.
Carbide burs are defined by their shank and by their head.
| Pediatric Dental Bur
Pediatric dental burs are used in restorative dentistry for children. These burs are smaller in dimensions compared to the burs used in permanent dentition.
| Diamond RA/Contra
Diamond RA/Contra refers to a type of dental bur used in dentistry. RA/Contra refers to the type of shank of the dental bur. Contra-angle dental burs have a diameter of 2.35 mm and commonly you’ll see a notch at the non-active end.
They are also know as RA burs (Right Angle), CA burs, or simply low-speed burs. These burs are used in rotary dental instruments such as turbines, contra-angles, and handpieces.
